Serve as a positive role model for 6th graders in our Active 6 after school program. 

Riverbank Run Course Volunteer

Ages XX+

Be a race course volunteer for the YMCA's annual Riverbank Run! This is an annual one-day opportunity on the last Saturday in April.

Volunteer Fundraiser

Ages 18+

Help the YMCA raise funds for its financial assistance program by asking local businesses for donations. This is a 6-8 week volunteer opportunity.

Youth Basketball Coach

Ages XX+

Coach young athletes as a YMCA Volunteer Basketball Coach. This is a six-week volunteer opportunity.

Youth Soccer Coach

Background Checks

Any YMCA volunteer working with youth needs to complete a background check.

Child Abuse Prevention Training

All YMCA volunteers are required to undergo child abuse prevention training. This training is offered online.

Training depends on your volunteer role. 

Annual Support Campaign

All volunteers will need to complete a brief Annual Support Campaign training with the YMCA's director of fund development.

Riverbank Run

All volunteers will need to complete a 30-minute, drop-in orientation on race day.

Youth Programs

Each volunteer must undergo a background check and a XX-minute child abuse prevention training prior to the start of their volunteer position. Volunteer coaches may need to complete concussion training as well.
