CPR/AED Certification
Ages 13+
This is an American Heart Association CPR/AED certification. Courses are taught by a certified American Heart Association instructor.
Upcoming Sessions:
- Courses are offered the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:15–9:15 p.m.
Cost:
- $66 w/ YMCA membership ($69 for non-YMCA members)
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Ages 13+
This is an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Courses are taught by a certified American Red Cross instructor.
Upcoming Sessions:
- Courses are offered the 1st Wednesday and the 2nd Thursday of each month. Classes run 5:30–9:30 p.m.
Cost:
- $66 w/ YMCA membership ($69 for non-YMCA members)
Lifeguard Certification
Ages 13+
We offer American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. All classes are mandatory and seven hours online course work are required. Certification includes certificates in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

- This course is offered selectively throughout the year. Classes require at least four participants. Contact Joann Kump at jkump@ymcamissoula.org for information on courses or how to request one.

- Full Certification: $220 (includes online training manual)
- Recertification: $150 (includes online training manual)

No. All certification courses are open to the general public.
All CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications are good for two years. Recertification is available.
