What Is UNITE Team Training?

UNITE Team Training in Missoula offers coached workouts in a small-group setting to help support your personal fitness goals. Fitness groups meet twice a week for eight weeks, allowing you to get stronger and healthier alongside friends! Classes are led by a dedicated coach who is with you throughout the entire session. 

UNITE Team Training offers options to choose from—FIT (high-intensity workouts) and LIFE (low-impact, moderate-intensity workouts). 

New to UNITE or returning from a break? We offer a free week at the start of each 8-week session.

UNITE FIT

Our UNITE FIT program features high intensity workouts with a focus on functional and dynamic exercises. UNITE FIT workouts are designed to improve functional fitness and strength for all-over athletic results. 

UNITE LIFE

Our UNITE LIFE program features moderate intensity workouts with a focus on low-impact and functional strength exercises. UNITE LIFE workouts are designed to improve total body strength, fitness, and toning, and help to bring renewed energy.

Curious what UNITE Team Training is all about? We offer a free week at the start of each 8-week class session. Non-YMCA members are welcome to attend. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in at our Welcome Center desk.

What to Expect

8-Week Sessions

UNITE Team Training consists of eight-week sessions. You'll stay with the same coach and team throughout the session, allowing you to get stronger and healthier alongside your UNITE community. 

50-Minute Classes

Classes are 50 minutes each and held twice a week. All classes are led by a dedicated coach.

Two Tracks to Choose From

Choose from two fitness tracks—LIFE (low-impact exercise) and FIT (aeorbic exercise). Both tracks focus on functional strength.

UNITE Team Training FAQs

No. UNITE Team Training is open to anyone in the community. Non-members wishing to use the YMCA facility outside of UNITE class will need to purchase a membership or pass.

Yes. UNITE Free Week is offered the week before the start of a new season. Members and non-members are welcome to participate. Talk to the Welcome Center desk to get signed up.

We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing comfortable, breathable clothes that you can easily move in. Close-toed shoes are required. Equipment will be provided. 

Each class is led by a dedicated coach who will be with you throughout the entire seven-week program. Your coach will lead you through a series of written exercises. Unlike a group fitness class, your coach will demonstrate an exercise and then move around the room to support participants as they work through the exercise. 

During our first class, all participants will take part in a guided assessment. The assessment will be repeated during our last class so participants can compare their progress. 

 

Classes are not refundable. If you need to miss a class, talk to your coach. A makeup class in another group's session may be available.
