Preschool & Kinder Camps
Ages 4–7
The YMCA's preschool (Rookie) and Kinder camps are designed to introduce our youngest campers to summer camp. These camps emphasize small group sizes and age-appropriate activities.
Preschool and Kinder camps are offered every week of summer, and include a variety of half- and full-day options.
School-Age Camps
Entering Grades 1–5
Choose from 30+ weekly day camps including sports, science, adventure, art, and more!
Camps are offered every week of summer, and include a variety of half- and full-day options.
Teen Camps
Entering Grades 6+
Our teen camps are designed to foster independence, develop new hobbies, and build real-life skills in a fun, supervised environment.
Camps are offered every week of summer, and include a variety of half- and full-day options. We also offer a weekly junior counselors program for teens.
Summer Learning Camps
Entering Grades 1–5
These camps are offered in month-long sessions and focus on learning-loss prevention through activities designed to strengthen math and reading skills while keeping summer fun.
Our Summer Learning Camps are offered by the month (June, July, and August) and accept the Best Beginnings scholarship.

Summer Day Camp FAQs
Yes. A one-time $15 registration fee is required for each camper each summer. A $25 deposit per camp is due at time of registration. This deposit guarantees your child’s place and is applied to the total balance due. The registration fee and deposits are non-refundable.
No. YMCA Summer Camp is open to members and non-members. YMCA members do receive early access to camp registration during a VIP registration period.
YMCA Summer Camp offers the longest hours of camp care in Missoula. Supervised full-day care runs from 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. five days a week with intentional camp programming running from 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Half-day camps have varied start and end times.
Yes. YMCA financial assistance is available for all camp programs. Please submit your application at least seven days prior to registering for camp.
Our month-long camps (Camp Imagination and Camp Horizon) are licensed through the state of Montana and accept Best Beginnings scholarships.
YMCA Summer Camp registration opens annually on March 1 at 7:00 a.m.
Online registration is available for all weekly day camps annually starting March 1.
We do not offer online registration for our licensed, month-long Camp Imagination and Camp Horizon programs. Click the button below to download a PDF application, or stop by the YMCA Welcome Center for a paper application.

Yes. All YMCA camps offer waitlist options. You will be contacted if a spot becomes available. We strongly encourage families to sign up for another camp as a backup option. If space opens in your preferred camp, we will adjust the registration and transfer
