The Missoula YMCA's Child Watch Center offers supervised drop-in care for children ages 6 months–11 years. Our center is divided into three age-appropriate play spaces.

Child Watch is included with YMCA membership at no additional cost. Children must be active YMCA members (regardless of age) or have a day, month, or guest pass to utilize Child Watch. Parents/guardians must remain at the YMCA while their children attend Child Watch.

Please allow a few minutes for check-in time.

What to Expect

Up to 2 Hours of Care

We provide up to two hours* of supervised care at no additional cost for YMCA members. 

*1.5 hours for children ages 6 weeks–24 months

Drop-In Child Care

Care is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow a few minutes for check-in time.

Vaccinations Required

Proof of vaccinations is required for all children.

Child Watch participants must be active YMCA members (regardless of age) or have a day, month, or guest pass to attend. 

We welcome children ages 6 weeks through 11 years into the center. Child Watch is broken into three dedicated, age-appropriate spaces: 

  • Littles Play Area: Toys and activities for children ages 6 weeks–24 months.
  • Bigs Play Area: Toys and activities for children ages 2-11.
  • The Treehouse: A multi-level indoor climbing structure for children ages 3-11. Children must be fully potty trained to use the Treehouse. 

All spaces are supervised by YMCA Child Watch staff. 

No. Families must remain at the YMCA while their child(ren) is in the Child Watch Center.

Child Watch participants must be active YMCA members (regardless of age) or have a day, month, or guest pass to attend.

Day and month passes give you full access to our facility, plus Child Watch and unlimited group fitness classes for the day! Passes are available at our Welcome Center.

Day & Month Passes

No. Children do not need to be potty trained to use the center. Child Watch staff are able to change your child's diaper. If your child is in diapers, leave diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes with a Child Watch staff member.

There is also a dedicated bathroom and handwashing sink inside the Child Watch Center.

Important Note: Children must be at least three and fully potty trained to use the Treehouse indoor play structure. 

No. Parents/guardians are required to check their children in and out of Child Watch.

Depends. You are welcome to send children ages 6 weeks–24 months with a nut-free snack. Children ages 2+ should eat prior to visiting Child Watch.
