After School Care
Grades EL–5
Join YMCA counselors for games, outdoor time, and student-driven activities in a supervised environment.
Care Options:
- Care available Monday–Friday from school release to 6:00 p.m.
- There is no after school on school half days and holidays. Scroll below for alternative care options on no-school days.
Cost:
Pricing effective July 2026.
- 5 Days: $393/month
- 4 Days: $343/month
- 3 Days: $293/month
- 2 Days: $243/month
- Additional Day*: $27/month
- One-Time Registration Fee: $55/school year ($75 when enrolling 2+ children)

After School FAQs
You will have the option to select which days of care you need during the enrollment process. Please note that days of care are fixed once selected. You will need to speak to the director at least two weeks in advance should you need to adjust your days of care.
Onsite care is provided Monday–Friday from school release to 6:00 p.m.
Students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. Pickups after this time are subject to a late fee.
YMCA After School does not operate on half and no-school days. The YMCA offers School's Out Day Camp on most half days and no-school days. This is a separate YMCA program and separate registration is required. YMCA financial assistance is available. Best Beginnings is not accepted at School's Out Day Camp.
Best Beginnings is a state program managed by the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services.

Families seeking assistance must apply to Best Beginnings before applying for YMCA Financial Assistance.
If you currently use the Best Beginnings scholarship at a different site or program, contact your case worker with an updated PV number. PV numbers for each YMCA After School site are found on this page under site locations.
Yes. If you have applied and not qualified for Best Beginnings, you may qualify for YMCA financial assistance. Please submit your application at least seven days prior to applying for camp. Families who qualify for Best Beginnings may also qualify for YMCA Financial Assistance. You must apply for Best Beginnings before applying for YMCA Financial Assistance.
After checking in with a YMCA counselor, students will enjoy a healthy afternoon snack, at least 30 minutes of outdoor play, and student-driven activities such as STEM and arts and crafts.
