Year-Round Care Options
The Missoula Family YMCA offers year-round child care options for grades K–5, including after school programs, no-school day camps, and summer day camps. Our programs include healthy snacks, educational activities, and structured outdoor play. We partner with local schools for convenient after school care options. Full-day care is available during no-school days and every week of summer.
We offer YMCA financial assistance for all child care programs, and accept Montana's Best Beginnings Scholarship for state-licensed YMCA programs.

After School
Offered August–June
YMCA After School offers onsite care at six Missoula elementary schools. Care is provided from school release to 6:00 p.m. Best Beginnings accepted.
School-Year Camps
Offered August–June
No school? No problem! YMCA School's Out Day Camp offers care during most MCPS and Hellgate no-school days.
Summer Camp
Offered June–August
YMCA Summer Camp provides enriching camp options every week of summer. Care is offered Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

No. Our child care programs for students in grades K-5 are open to both members and non-members.
The Missoula Family YMCA is committed to being a safe space for children, individuals, and families. We are accredited through Praesidium.
Praesidium Accreditation involves compliance with best practices and a rigorous evaluation process that assesses various operational areas to help maintain high standards of safety for all involved in YMCA programs, particularly children.
All YMCA staff undergo extensive training around child abuse prevention. Something about volunteers? Staff are also certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.

We are committed to keeping our school-age child care programs accessible for all Missoulians. We offer income-based, sliding-scale assistance for all child care programs. An application is required.
As a state-licensed child care provider, we also accept Montana's Best Beginnings Scholarship at YMCA After School, YMCA Camp Horizon, and YMCA Camp Imagination.
