Youth Soccer League
Ages 4-14
Our recreational soccer league teaches players soccer fundamentals and game skills in a positive team environment. All teams are coached by volunteer coaches.
We offer both Spring and Fall seasons. Practices are held once a week at neighborhood parks and schools, and scheduled by volunteer coaches. Games are Sundays at Fort Missoula.
Registration opens seasonally on February 1 and July 1.

Cost:
- Regular Registration: $84 per player
- Late Registration*: $94 per player
*Team placement is on a first-come, first-served basis and not guaranteed during Late Registration. We offer in-person registration only once teams have been built.
Preschool Soccer Clinics
Ages 3-4
Rookie Soccer, our preschool soccer clinic, is an introductory program that helps preschool-age athletes prepare for the YMCA's Soccer Basketball League. Rookie Soccer consists of four 45-minute classes that cover fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic game concepts.
Registration opens seasonally on February 1 and August 1.

- Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays: 5:15–6:00 p.m.

Youth Soccer FAQs
No. YMCA Youth Sports programs are open to anyone.
No. We welcome kids of all abilities and levels of playing experience to participate in YMCA youth basketball programs.
Equal playing time is a requirement for YMCA Leagues and clinics.
Youth Soccer League
Jerseys are included with registration and are required for games. Shin guards and close-toed shoes are required for all games and practices. Cleats are recommended, and we offer a free cleat swap at the games on Sundays. Water bottles are strongly encouraged.
Preschool Soccer Program
Children should come wearing clothes they can run and move comfortably in. Close-toed shoes are required.
We do not offer refunds for YMCA soccer programs. However, we do offer credit that can be applied to future YMCA programs.
Divisions are separated by grade. PreK, Kindergarten and Middle School are co-ed divisions. All other divisions are separated by boys and girls. Teams are built by school and neighboring parts of town. You may request specific coaches or teammates for your child. While we cannot guarantee requests, we do our best to accommodate them when possible.
Practices are held once a week at neighborhood parks and schools. Practice days, times, and locations will be determined by your team's coach.
YMCA Youth Soccer teams are coached by volunteers.Parent involvement is key to YMCA sports leagues, and we often ask parents to step in and volunteer as coaches so that every team will have a coach. All YMCA staff and volunteers undergo background checks and abuse prevention training.
You will receive an email from PlayerSpace with your child’s game schedule 10 days prior to practices starting. Volunteer coaches set up their own day/time/location for practices and will reach out with the practice schedule one week prior to practices starting. If you haven't heard from your child's coach by then, contact the YMCA at 406-721-9622 or email youthsports@ymcamissoula.org.
Cancellation requests should be sent to youthsports@ymcamissoula.org. If a cancellation request is submitted prior to the first game, a refund (minus a $10 processing fee) will be issued. If the cancellation request is made after the first game, a maximum of 50% of the fees will be refunded, depending on the number of games played.
