YMCA Youth Soccer League is a recreational league that provides strong soccer foundations for young athletes. We focus on teaching players soccer fundamentals and game skills in a positive team environment. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches. All skill levels are welcome.
We also offer Rookie Soccer, an introductory class to prepare preschool-age athletes for the YMCA's Youth Soccer League.
Youth Soccer League
Ages 6-14
Our recreational soccer league teaches players soccer fundamentals and game skills in a positive team environment. All teams are coached by volunteer coaches.
We offer both Spring and Fall seasons. Practices are held once a week at neighborhood parks and schools. Games are Sundays at Fort Missoula.
Registration opens seasonally on February 1 and July 1.
Upcoming Seasons:
- Spring Season: Our 2026 Spring soccer season is April 13–May 31.
- Fall Season: Check back July 1 for Fall season details.
Cost:
- Regular Registration: $38 w/ YMCA membership ($48 for non-YMCA members)
- Late Registration*: $38 w/ YMCA membership ($48 for non-YMCA members)
*Team placement is on a first-come, first-served basis and not guaranteed during Late Registration. We offer in-person registration only once teams have been built.
What to Expect
Weekly Practices & Games
Practices are scheduled by volunteer coaches and held once a week at local parks. Games are Sundays at Fort Missoula Regional Park.

A no-cost cleat swap is available for all registered soccer league players.

Youth Soccer FAQs
No. YMCA Youth Sports programs are open to anyone.
No. We welcome kids of all abilities and levels of playing experience to participate in YMCA youth basketball programs.
Equal playing time is a requirement for YMCA Leagues and clinics.
Youth Soccer League
Jerseys are included with registration and are required for games. Shin guards and close-toed shoes are required for all games and practices. We offer a free cleat swap. Water bottles are strongly encouraged.
Preschool Soccer Program
Children should come wearing clothes they can run and move comfortably in. Close-toed shoes are required.
We do not offer refunds for YMCA soccer programs. However, we do offer credit that can be applied to future YMCA programs.

Practices are held once a week at neighborhood parks and schools. Practice days, times, and locations will be determined by your team's coach.
YMCA Youth Soccer teams are coached by volunteers. All YMCA staff and volunteers undergo background checks and abuse prevention training.
You'll be contacted by your child's soccer coach one week before the league starts. if you haven't heard from your child's coach by then, contact the YMCA at 406-721-9622 or email ymca@ymcamissoula.org.
We offer a free cleat swap for registered youth soccer league players. The cleat swap is available on game days at the YMCA's soccer tent. Have a pair of cleats your child's outgrown? Consider donating them to our cleat swap!
