CPR/AED Certification
Ages 13+
This is an American Heart Association CPR/AED certification. Courses are offered once a month and taught by a certified American Heart Association instructor. Please note that courses require a minimum number of participants to run.
Course Dates: Courses are offered the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:15–9:15 p.m.
Certification Fee: $69 ($66 w/ YMCA membership)
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Ages 13+
This is an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Courses are offered once a month and taught by a certified American Red Cross instructor. Please note that courses require a minimum number of participants to run.
Course Dates: Courses are offered the 1st Wednesday and the 2nd Thursday of each month. Classes run 5:30–9:30 p.m.
Certification Fee: $69 ($66 w/ YMCA membership)
Lifeguard Certifications
Ages 15+
We offer American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. All classes are mandatory and seven hours online course work are required. Certification includes certificates in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
This course is offered selectively throughout the year. Classes require at least four participants. Contact Joann Kump at jkump@ymcamissoula.org for information on courses or how to request one.

The YMCA's Parents Night Out program is offered one Friday per month and runs September–May. Care is provided 5:30–9:30 p.m. Registration is required for each child.

A Commitment to Safety
Safety is the top priority at the Missoula YMCA. All of our staff hold first aid, CPR, and AED certifications and have undergone extensive child abuse prevention training.
Hours
Before the start of our summer camp season, Missoula YMCA counselors complete an average of 40 hours of training, which includes CPR certification.
