YMCA Summer Camp registration opens March 1 for the general public. Ask us about early registration dates for YMCA members. Spots fill quickly. Financial assistance is available through YMCA scholarships. Best Beginnings is accepted at our month-long camps.
Week-Long Camps
Ages 4-14
Our week-long camps run Monday–Friday every week of summer. Options include sports camps, adventure camps, STEM camps, and more. Half- and full-day camp options are available.
Month-Long Camps
Entering Grades 1-5
Our month-long camps (Camp Horizon and Camp Imagination) focus on summer learning and run Monday–Friday most weeks of summer. Camps are licensed through the state of Montana and accept Best Beginnings.
Preschool & Kinder Camps
Ages 4–6
Designed to ease young children into summer camp
Junior Counselors Program
Entering Grades 7+
Enjoy traditional camp activities while developing leadership skills through teambuilding activities.
Teen Camps
Entering Grades 6+
Teen camps foster independence and real-world skill development in supervised camp settings.
School-Year Camps
Grades EL–5
Offered during the school year on most MCPS and Hellgate Elementary half days and no-school days.
What to Expect
Meals & Snacks
Daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are included with your camp registration.
Extended Hours
YMCA Camps offer free before and after care for all full-day campers. Drop your camper off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6:00 p.m.
Highly Trained Counselors
YMCA counselors undergo 40 hours of required training including child abuse prevention, CPR/First Aid, behavior management, and more.
Summer Camp FAQs
No. YMCA Summer Camp is open to members and non-members. YMCA members do receive early access to camp registration during a VIP registration period.

Our month-long camps (Camp Imagination and Camp Horizon) are licensed through the state of Montana and accept Best Beginnings scholarships.
YMCA financial assistance is available all camp programs. An application is required. Please submit your application at least seven days prior to registering for camp.
Full-day YMCA camps run 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with camp curriculum running from 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Half-day camps run Monday–Friday with varied start and end times.
