What to Expect

Intermediate-Level Workout

All workouts are designed for those who swim at an intermediate level or above. Swimmers must know the four basic strokes (breast, butterfly, back, and freestyle) and have the endurance to swim laps in a 25-yard pool. 

Ages 18+

Our masters swim program is for adults ages 18+.

Dedicated Swim Coach

All Master Swim workouts are coached by an experienced and dedicated swim coach. 

Masters Swim FAQs

No. However, non-members must purchase a day pass or punch pass to swim. Passes are available online or at the YMCA's Welcome Center desk. 

Wear a swimsuit and bring goggles, a water bottle, and towel. A swim cap is recommended, but not required. The YMCA will provide any necessary equipment such as kickboards, flippers, and hand paddles. 

Yes. Showering before swimming is required. Showers are available in locker rooms, private changing stalls, and on deck. 

Masters Swim is open to anyone who has the endurance to swim laps in a 25-yard pool and who knows the basics of all four strokes (breast, butterfly, back, and freestyle). 

Let the coach know if it's your first time to Masters Swim and they will help you determine a lane appropriate for your skill level.
